Big Brothers/Big Sisters 7-21-19

BBBS Development Director Dorothy Kelly and Child Enrollment Specialist Tameca Dunning talk to Marti Casper about the importance of mentoring. BBBS is always looking for volunteers and can match kids with adults who have the same interests. Adult volunteers only need to spend 2 hours a week with their little, but that can be more depending on schedules. The kids come for all walks of life throughout our area. Of the eligible youth who were mentored with a Big Brother or Big Sister in the Rochester City School District, 100% of them graduated. The enrollment process is lengthy but not complicated and there is a waiting list of kids who need mentors. They are holding their annual Be A Big Golf Tournament on August 24th.
