Mark's Bits & Pieces

Mark Shuttleworth gets you home every afternoon with 14 big hits every hour and the Legendary Drive at 5.  If you're lucky you might catch the 5 O'Clock Feud where two listeners compete to guess the most popular answers to survey questions.  Of course, the winner is lavished with cash and/or prizes.

Between the hits, Mark tells you what's going on around town, and funny bits and pieces you might have missed on TV or on the web.  If you missed it...you'll find it here.

American Idol is back...and missing something.  Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson are judging this season.  I found myself watching their evaluation and then wishing there was a Simon Cowell bubble that would appear so he could tell me if they were really good or not.  I'm pretty sure some people got through who didn't deserve it...but I'm not paying for their airfare to LA...so what do I care?  Has Idol jumped the shark?  Who knows, I'll be watching until the very end.  For the best idol blogging visit mjsbigblog.com.

Jane Lynch who plays Sue Sylvester says she looks to Simon Cowell for inspiration for her "honest" Glee character.  Lynch says "if ever there was a guy who tells it like it is, then it’s Simon Cowell. You could definitely look at Sue and say there’s a lot of Simon in her."  Read more here.

And finally...there's a man in Arizona who held up several banks and asked one teller to hand over all her "$60 bills."  Yup...$60 bills.  This guy is now known as the "Sixty Dollar Bill Bandit."
