September 11, 2018

It’s a date we will never forget, September 11th.  2,996 people lost their lives that sunny morning in 2001.  We pray for the families of those who lost loved ones that day.

On the program today, we covered some pretty silly stuff.  Let’s take a look…

  • 35% of teenagers say that texting is their favorite way to communicate.  Only 32% prefer face-to-face conversation.  That doesn’t surprise me.  What does surprise me is that the same study said that 44% of teens get annoyed sometimes when their friends are constantly staring at their phones.  Here’s the whole story.
  • If you’re looking to hold onto your youth you may just have to throw back a little blood.  What?!?!  Research out of the University of London says that when people over 35 were injected with plasma from teenagers’ blood, there was a real improvement in their biomarkers for diseases.  Check out the story.
  • I’m reminded of the Johnny Cash song, One Piece at a Time.  A woman in Ohio is accused of sealing 3-5 slices of meat from the deli at the grocery store where she worked…for 5 years!  The store added up the value of the stolen merchandise and it came to $9,200 worth of meat.  She has been fired and could face charges.  Here’s the story.
  • And finally, someone has put together a montage of Marvel comic superheroes fighting to ABBA’s, The Winner Takes It All.  Check it out, below.
