Gandhi Institute For Non-Violence 11-21-20

GI Executive Director Kit Miller Jons Marti Casper to talk about the role the center for non-violence has in Rochester. The GI collaborates with local organizations, schools and other academic institutions, students and committed peacemakers for nonviolence education, environmental sustainability, restorative practices ad racial justice. The Institute was started by Mohandis Gandhi’s grandsons Arun and Sunanda Gandhi in 1991. In Rochester the GI is located 929 South Plymouth between Flint and Magnolia Streets and provides a safe place for a wide variety of groups to meet. The Institute maintains a collection of books, videos and recordings which cover the lives and legacies of Gandhi, Martin LutherKing Jr, Bobby Kennedy and other important social activists.
