Veterans Outreach Center 7-4-21

Mark Shuttleworth spoke with Laura Stradley, the Executive Director of the Veterans Outreach Center in Rochester.  They spoke about new programs that are in place at the VOC including a large renovation project at Richard’s House.  The current facility can house up to 28 men overnight.  The renovation and addition will be able to accommodate 46 veterans overnight.  Mark and Laura spoke about substance abuse programs and mental health programs that are available to local veterans.  Stradey spoke about fundraising efforts including their 5k fundraiser, Pound the Ground, on August 18, 2021.
