We lost another music legend this week – Meat Loaf has passed away at the age of 74. Meat Loaf (real name Michael Lee Aday) got his name from a high school football coach when he played defensive tackle. His Bat Out of Hell trilogy has sold over 65 million albums worldwide. He won a Grammy for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for his song “I’d Do Anything for Love”. He also appeared in more than 65 movies and TV shows, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Fight Club, Spice World and many others. He was also in the musical Hair, both on and off Broadway. Back in February 2020, Meat Loaf posted on Facebook that he was planning on recording a new album with several new tracks. And in November 2021, he elaborated with another post that he was going to be returning to the studio in 2022 to record 7 new tracks for an upcoming album, which would also include live recordings from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. No recording had apparently been done at the time of his death. Learn more here.
