October 24, 2022 – THEME WEEK DAY 1

Since Halloween is just one week away, this week it’s only fitting that we have a Halloween theme week on the Wiki Corner! Today we’re talking about the Halloween candy everyone loves to hate – Candy Corn! It was originally called “Chicken Feed” and was first produced in 1888. Candy corn was originally made by hand, and while production methods have improved, the recipe has stayed the same for the most part. Today, around 35 million pounds of candy corn are sold every year, according to the National Confectioners Association. Learn more here.
