The Special Olympics 1/22/23

Ed Smith spoke with Sal Gerbino from the Law Enforcement Torch Run that organizes and runs the Polar Plunge to support the Special Olympics.  Sal explained the origins of the Torch Run and its support of the Special Olympics.  He spoke about the connection he and other law enforcement officers have with the athletes that compete in the Special Olympics.  He explained the safety measures in place for people who are actually doing the plunge.  Gerbino encouraged people to register and make a donation.  They are looking for volunteers to help with the event on February 5th.
