Marti Casper speaks with NCADD Rochester Exceutive Director Jennifer Faringer about addiction, opioids and treatment programs available here in Monroe County. NCADD Rochester is one of 27 affiliates in New York State and over 90 affiliates nationwide. They work to prevent and treat drug and alcohol dependence and gambling, through family and community education programs. Chemical dependency is America’s #1 health problem. Jennifer says there are always events and training programs and they work closely with the Opioid Task Force Of Monroe County. Since it was formed they have seen a decline in drug/alcohol cases and an increase in people taking advantage of treatment facilities and programs. The website is ncadd-ra.org
