Another Hollywood icon has passed away. Raquel Welch died today at the age of 82 after a brief illness. Her breakout role was in the sci-fi movie Fantastic Voyage in 1966, which was a huge hit and made her a star. That was followed by One Million Years B.C., where she had 3 lines but wore only a deer skin bikini. A publicity shot of her in the bikini became a best selling poster and turned her into an instant sex symbol. She was one of the most sought after female stars throughout the 60s and 70s. In 1971, she became one of the few actresses and one the earliest to star in a Western film, Hannie Caulder. Quentin Tarantino has said that movie was one of his inspirations for the 2003 movie Kill Bill. Learn more here.
