April 16, 2024 – Natural Bridges National Monument

On this day in 1908, Natural Bridges National Monument was established, becoming Utah’s first National Monument. There are 3  natural bridges within the park, all formed over thousands of years from water erosion. In 2007, Natural Bridges became the first International Dark Sky Park, a designation that recognizes that it has some of the darkest and clearest skies in the U.S. but also that it makes every effort to conserve the darkness in the park.
